Farewell to Headteacher Hannah Wilson

We have said "goodbye and thank you" to Hannah Wilson as she moves on to her new role in higher education. Her dedication has been vital in establishing the Aureus community in Great Western Park, Didcot.

Julie Hiddleston will continue her role as Executive Headteacher at Aureus Primary School from September.
Hannah says: “I have really enjoyed being the founding Headteacher of the Aureus Schools as it has been an absolute privilege to work with the staff in creating a values-based school with a distinct and palpable culture and ethos. Opening a new school has indeed given us our challenges at times and I would personally like to thank all of our parents and carers for the support that they have shown us all in the last two years.
“I will miss our team, our children and our community immensely. I am very proud of everything we have achieved and of the young people we work with. I have high hopes for them all in the future. Aureus Schools will always hold a very dear place in my heart and I wish the teams at both schools the best of luck for the rest of the year and beyond.”
Kevin Gawley, Chair of School Strategy Board at Aureus Primary School, says: “We are saying farewell to a committed leader who faced the challenge of opening not just one, but two, brand new schools, and her enthusiasm and dedication have been instrumental in establishing the schools that now serve the community in Great Western Park.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her commitment to the staff and children of Aureus Primary School, who I know will miss her energy and enthusiasm, and to wish her every success on behalf of you all as she moves on to a new challenge in her career.”
