GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Nursery Admissions

We are proud that our Nursery is a popular and inviting option for parents.

The downside of this is that we are heavily oversubscribed. We are currently full for this academic year and our waiting list for September 2024 is now closed.

Nursery Waiting List

We offer:

  • 15hrs part time sessions of 3 hour morning or 3 hour afternoon sessions
  • 30hrs full time sessions of 6 hours a day and 30 minutes per day

To check your eligibility for 30 hour funding, please go to

childcarechoices.gov.uk

The nursery team reserve the right to make adjustments to a child’s sessions to support a positive transition in working towards attending their 15hr or 30hrs provision.

Please note, admission to the school nursery does not guarantee admission to Aureus Primary School Reception Year.

For our full Nursery Admissions Policies, please navigate to our Policies Page and read the accompanying guidance for oversubscription criteria:

Additional guidance for oversubscription criteria.

Prioritisation of places

Children will be ranked according to age groups as specified below. Where there is not sufficient places to offer all children a place according to their age group, children will be ranked according to the listed oversubscription criteria.

Nursery Age Groups

  • All children will be ranked according to the following age groups:

  • Children who have officially deferred entrance into Reception for 2024.

  • Children who will turn 4 years old between 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025. (This is to give priority to older children who will be due to transfer to Reception in the next academic year/September 2025 and only have one year left to attend nursery).

  • Children who will be 3 years old between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025.

  • Children who will be 2 years old between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025. At Aureus Primary School a child can only start in the nursery once they have turned 2 years old.

  • Places for children who will turn 2 or 3 years old between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025 will be allocated as follows with the oldest by term having priority:

  • 2-year-olds who are eligible for funded early education and childcare

  • Children who are 2 years old, and subject to availability.
