We have had great fun connecting guttering and pipes together to make long tube lines for balls to roll down originally. The children then expanded their play by asking for toy cars, they had to use their problem-solving skills to work out which toys would go down the lines and which would become stuck. We observed lots of team work, sharing and friendly behaviour amongst peers.
We have had an amazing week in Year 1 and have enjoyed PE in the warmer weather. The children have also been enjoying daily handwriting lessons in class especially as we always start with all sorts of fantastic gross and fine motor skills warmups.
We have had a very busy week Ramanujan Class! In Maths, we have been able to apply our knowledge of x by 10 to explain how making a factor 10 times the size affects the product e.g. if we know that 2 x 6 = 12 we can infer that 2 x 60 must be 120.
