Grand Finals of the GLF Spelling Bee

We were so excited to get through to the Spelling Bee finals in Croydon. The children tested each other on the car journey there and were ready for the spelling warmups. Meridian Secondary school were great hosts and we competed in an airy gazebo with lunch laid on for the competitors. All five children showed the values of teamwork, grit and kindness as they competed against great spellers from six other schools. We just missed out on the grand final but we were immensely proud of the support for the other schools and the way they represented Aureus Primary all day. We all came away exhausted but pleased with our effort on this first ever spelling bee.
