I just read on a FB thread about a school where children are invited to bring a birthday book instead of sweets/cakes on their birthday - books are shown in assembly, given a named bookplate and added to the library! What a fab idea! 🤩📚🎂

FAQ's

Is this a Free School?
No – Aureus Primary School  is a new Academy that is being built following a competition run by OxfordshireCounty Council under the Targeted Basic Need programme. The Council decided on the need for the school, provided the site and are responsible for building the new school. GLF Schools will run the new school once it’s built.

Where will the school be?
The school will be located in the Great Western Park development to the west of Didcot on a greenfield site.

What happens next?
Building work commenced in 2017. Our admissions will open in September 2017 and close on 15 January 2018. Up to that date we will be holding a number of open days and evenings, community events and other occasions for parents to find out more about the school and to meet our staff. We are looking to appoint the Headteacher in the Spring term of 2018.
